Keats was a well known poet of the English romantic period, and despite his death at the tender age of 25, is one of the most widely read authors of the era.

The possibility to find old books available for purchase on the internet is very wonderful to me, even though I am a librarian, and often read books from libraries. But certain books it is great to own. Therefore, I was happy to find "The complete poetical works and letters of John Keats", dating from 1899, at a very reasonable price, and thanks to and a very nice bookdealer in US, called Mr Brown. Interesting coincidence, since one of Keats' greatest friends and supporters was also named Brown ;-) So, I am now the happy owner and reader of this great book which came in a beautiful wrapping paper with a very nice card from the bookseller. If I had seen this in person I never would have bought it.
This book, as stated on the first page, was "generated from a scan of the original." Maybe that's common with old books, but the result of it has caused it to be incredibly difficult to read. It isn't a problem with my eye sight, though after a short time of trying to read this book I began to get a bit of a head ache from trying to focus on the letters that appeared to have flaked away in some parts and in other parts to be too thick with ink.
I wish I had just saved my money and bought a nicer version instead of this one that I received a few hours ago and regretted almost immediately. I wouldn't have spent a dollar on this book that I paid 12 dollars for.
